Steam Rose Cake is a popular traditional cake in Indonesia. A unique part of this cake is that during steaming, as the hot temperature and moisture inside steamer goes up,
the surface of cake batter rises and breaks up beautifully, starts from the center, makes it looks like a blooming rose.

Ingredients:

  • Wheat flour
  • Corn starch
  • Sugar
  • Skim milk powder
  • Emulsifier (E471, E472b, E477).
  • Baking powder
  • Vanilla flavour

How to make :

  • BOIL steamer with maximum heat.
  • BEAT eggs at high speed for ± 3 minutes until foamy.
  • Add PONDAN Steam Rose cake Mix and 75 cc water, then beat again at high speed for ± 7 minutes until cake batter is smooth, white & thick. Add the 50 cc remaining water, or 100 cc instant coconut milk then mix them well.
  • TAKE 5 tablespoons of cake batter, mix with a mixture of 1 tablespoon cocoa powder and 1 tablespoon hot water. This is for the topping of the cake.
  • FILL cupcakes with cake batter until ¾ full.
    Add 1 teaspoon chocolate batter on top. Enough for 20 cupcakes.
  • STEAM with maximum heat until done for ± 15 minutes. Do not open the lid during steaming. Let it cool for a while, and enjoy it!

  • 2 eggs ( 120 gr )
  • 75 cc of water
  • coconut milk 100cc
