Vanilla Sponge Cake Recipe

Enjoy the deliciousness of this soft and tasty Vanilla Sponge Cake. With the perfect combination of eggs, margarine, and PONDAN Sponge Vanilla premix, prepare your taste buds for an unforgettable flavor adventure!


  • 400g PONDAN Sponge Vanilla premix
  • 6 eggs (± 350g)
  • 150g melted margarine

How to Make:

  1. Preheat oven (180°C). Beat eggs for ± 2 minutes until fluffy.
  2. Add PONDAN Sponge Vanilla premix and beat again at high speed for 6-7 minutes until the thick white batter expands.
  3. Add cooled melted margarine and stir evenly with a spatula. Grease a 24x7cm baking pan with margarine, then pour the batter into the pan. Bake until cooked for ± 45 minutes over medium heat (180°C). To check if the cake is cooked, insert a toothpick into the center of the cake, if no batter sticks, the cake is cooked.
  4. Coat your sponge cake with buttercream (buttercream recipe is provided on the side of this box).
  5. * If using a baking pan, it can be used directly without preheating. Bake for ± 45 minutes over low heat (during baking, do not cover the small holes on the pan). Coat your sponge cake with buttercream.
