Ingredients:

  • 400g PONDAN Sponge Chocolate premix
  • 6 eggs (± 350g)
  • 150g melted margarine

How to Make:

  1. Preheat the oven (180°C). Beat eggs for ± 2 minutes until fluffy.
  2. Add PONDAN Sponge Chocolate premix and beat again at high speed for 6-7 minutes until the thick white batter forms.
  3. Add cooled melted margarine into the batter, stir until evenly mixed with a spatula. Grease a 24x7cm baking pan with margarine, then pour the batter into the pan. Bake until cooked for ± 45 minutes at medium heat (180°C). To check if the cake is done, insert a toothpick into the middle of the cake, if no batter sticks, it’s done.
  4. Coat your sponge cake with buttercream (buttercream recipe is provided on the side of this box).
  5. * If using a baking pan, the base can be used directly without preheating. Bake for ± 45 minutes with low heat (during baking, do not cover the small holes in the baking pan). Coat your sponge cake with buttercream.
